“1000-Lb. Sisters” star Tammy Slaton shared another major update in her weight-loss journey.
A clip posted to TLC’s Instagram Wednesday showed the reality star stepping on the scale and weighing 281.2 pounds.
“I think the last time I weighed 281 [pounds], I was in fourth or fifth grade,” she shared, adding she now weighs less than her older brother, Chris Combs.
“Chris said he weighs 284 [pounds]. I now weigh a little less than Chris. That’s mind-blowing,” Slaton, 38, continued. “I’m the baby sister, but I’m not the ‘big’ baby sister no more.”
Slaton revealed that she lost around 20 pounds in three months after weighing 303 pounds when she went to a doctor’s appointment.
Combs admitted in a confessional that he never thought his sister would be smaller than him, saying, “She’s always been Tammy — big.”
The TLC star has been documenting her weight-loss venture on the reality series since 2020 when she weighed around 725 pounds.
Within two years, Slaton lost 200 pounds after doctors told her she would need to shed a little weight to be eligible for bariatric surgery.
After undergoing the procedure in 2022, Slaton shared she lost around 300 pounds the following year and shed 440 pounds by April 2024.

Slaton’s dramatic weight loss has led her to ditch her walker, the oxygen support tank she utilized for 15 years.
“I was able to make my lungs strong … And then recently the doctor cleared me to be off my oxygen machine during the daytime,” she told People in June 2023.
“Now I only wear my oxygen at night, along with my BiPap [bilevel positive airway pressure] machine. I monitor my oxygen levels throughout the day and keep my machine on hand in case I need it.”
Aside from exercising, Slaton is seeking invasive weight loss treatments and wants to go under the knife for skin removal surgery.
Per a clip posted to TLC’s Instagram on Thursday, Slaton was told by a doctor in a forthcoming episode that she’d likely have to wait another year before having the procedure because she only had her weight loss surgery not too long ago.
The doctor advised Slaton to continue to lose weight until she is qualified for the procedure.
