Controversial TikTok star Hannah Hiatt is under investigation!
The Ogden Police Department confirmed to People on Monday that after “numerous reports through Child Protective Service and police” following a series of concerning videos, “there is an open, active investigation into” the Utah content creator. A spokesperson revealed:
“There is a detective assigned to the case.”
No further details about what the investigation would entail were shared. That said, the department noted the investigation was sparked amid concerns over a video in which Hannah’s young son James appeared to flinch and block his face when his father Braxton approached. The video has since been deleted.

The mommy influencer — dubbed “17 diapers” after she posted a video collecting 17 dirty diapers littered around her home — made waves on social media when followers accused her of being the next Ruby Franke. The infamous former parenting influencer is now in prison for child abuse. As mentioned, the comparison came after the flinching video, as well as videos in which Hannah seemed to deny James food. She also proudly claimed she doesn’t change his diapers when he pees because it’s too expensive and refused to buy him a much-needed $35 winter coat. Lots of red flags!

Hannah, a travel nurse, hit back at the allegations, insisting James flinched in the video with her husband because “they’re always playing where they scare each other … and that’s what they’re always doing.” In a follow-up video, she insisted her children, including a newborn, are “happy,” “healthy,” and “well-nourished.”
Now she’ll have to convince authorities of all this too. We’re glad CPS is taking these concerns seriously. Whatever turns out to be true, the kiddos deserve someone looking out for them! At this time, Hannah has not commented on the investigation.
