Looks aside, it also works like a dream. I use it to blend smoothies almost daily and appreciate how it automatically slows down to allow for the frozen fruit and other ingredients to shift and settle before the automatic sensor revs up again.

While I've struggled with the lack of power on some of my previous compact blenders, this one has a small but mighty motor. "While I do love the on-the-go nature of my Ninja Blast Portable Blender, the Beast Blender made me fall back in love with a plug-in for so many reasons. First of all, the strength is undeniable and it never runs out of power or has to be charged. I also love how easy it is to twist off the top once my beverage is fully mixed, and twist on the sip cap to begin drinking. I appreciate that the machine won't start until all pieces are fully secure and locked, as other blenders I've tried cause a huge mess when liquid leaks out without warning.

From an aesthetic standpoint, I love the chic colors this blender comes in — terracotta is a personal favorite shade I use throughout my home, so it was no question that would be my pick. "I use my Beast Mini Blender nearly every day for my morning smoothies, and I love how powerful yet streamlined it is. For starters, the blades are super sharp and can handle slicing and dicing everything from fibrous greens to frozen fruit. Plus, its speed and motor pulverize everything into a smooth consistency. I live in an apartment with limited counter and storage space, so I love that the mini model has the same power as its full-size counterpart, but without the added space.

Other apartment-friendly blenders I've used in the past aren't able to deliver that creamy consistency, but instead have random chunks left over, which makes for an unpleasant smoothie experience. It performs as well as a higher-end model like a Vitamix, but without the clunky design.

Unlike other blenders on the market, this has simple controls: a pulse mode or a blend mode. I sometimes use the pulse mode to grind down greens or fruits if I fill it to the brim or if there are too many textures, but I usually let it sit on blend mode while making my morning coffee.
