San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, but he fully participated in practice this week, which can be seen as a positive sign that he'll be ready to play, per Tom Pelissero.

Purdy being listed as questionable for Sunday night's Week 13 matchup between the 49ers and the Bills after missing the team's recent loss to the Green Bay Packers and being limited in practice this week is a positive sign for San Francisco, which has been sorely missing the starting QB for some time.
Purdy is dealing with a right shoulder injury, which he sustained during the 49ers' game against the Seattle Seahawks on November 17. Since then, he has not participated in any full practices. His availability for Sunday's game remains officially uncertain, as the team continues to manage his recovery, but any upgrade can be seen as a positive at the moment.
Earlier in the week, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that Purdy was more fully engaged at practice.
"He did some light throwing today and it went all good," said Shanahan. "He had, we didn't push it that hard, but did some light throwing, which was a good sign that the pain hadn't come back. And we'll rest it tomorrow and see how he feels as the week goes."
Having Purdy return in time for Sunday's game against the Bills would be a major lift for the 49ers, especially as they try to get their season back on track. At this point, the team's playoff prospects are secondary to simply getting back to a .500 record.
With a 5-6 mark heading into their matchup in Orchard Park, New York, the 49ers face one of the NFL's hottest teams. To make matters more challenging, they'll be playing in conditions that could make their already frigid Week 12 38-10 loss in Green Bay feel like a warm day by comparison.

Purdy was selected as the final pick of the 2022 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. Initially the third-string quarterback, Purdy was thrust into the starting role following injuries to Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo. He won all five regular-season games he started, playing a key role in the 49ers' 10-game win streak, which included securing a division title and advancing to the NFC Championship Game.
In 2023, Purdy continued as the 49ers' starting quarterback, leading the team to another division title and setting a franchise record for single-season passing yards. He also led the league in multiple passing categories and earned his first Pro Bowl selection. In Week 5 of the 2024 season, Purdy reached his 50th career touchdown pass, becoming the fastest quarterback in 49ers history to achieve that milestone with a touchdown throw to George Kittle.
