4Batz has unleashed his latest song, “Hood Grammy.” You can stream it here.

"In the hood, I think I won a Grammy, yeah / Don’t think you n***as understand me / This for my granny, this for my family / This for my mama, I got my hood Grammy,” 4Batz sings.

The single follows the Dallas native’s debut mixtape, U Made Me a St4r, which arrived this May via Gamma. The project cut, “Act II: Date @ 8” served as 4Batz’s first-ever entry on the Billboard Hot 100, opening at No. 77. The song later saw a remix featuring Drake and another U Made Me a St4r song, “Act III: On God? (She Like)” received the remix treatment with Kanye West.

4Batz recently sat down with Million Dollaz Worth of Game, where he gave Bu Thiam—the founder of record label, BuVision—his flowers. Batz explained that Thiam is “the reason why” he’s reached this point in his career. “This man is a genius,” Batz said.

Bu, who was sitting right next to the artist, also chimed in. “When I heard [4Batz], I’m like, ‘This sounds different. I want to be a part of this.’ Because it felt like something I’ve never heard before.”

Thiam—who is Akon’s brother—is known for working closely with artists like Lil Nas X and Kanye West. Bu launched BuVision in 2018. It’s unclear in what capacity 4Batz and Thiam are working together.
