50 Cent doesn’t seem so sure about the infamous “American woman in Pakistan” returning home to New York.
Onijah Andrew Robinson, a 33-year-old New Yorker, is reportedly returning to the U.S. after a highly publicized and controversial stay in Karachi, Pakistan.
She initially traveled to meet and allegedly marry 19-year-old, whom she had connected with online, per The Independent. However, Memon’s family disapproved, and he supposedly refused the marriage. Robinson was left stranded and wandered the city before discovering Memon’s family had vacated their home.
Videos of Robinson holding press conferences while demanding large sums of money and Pakistani citizenship have gone viral online, making her an online sensation.
Enter 50 Cent, who shared to his Instagram a video of Robinson refusing to explain to Pakistani media why she was refusing to return home.
“It’s none of your business,” Robinson says in the clip. "Go home."
“[Eyes emoji] security make sure this woman don’t get near me. LOL I’m scared of her !” wrote the 49-year-old rapper in his Instagram caption.
Robinson’s alleged son, Jeremiah Robinson, claimed his mother lives with bipolar disorder in a video shared online. He also debunked the marriage narrative and revealed she was originally supposed to return from a brief vacation on Jan. 15.
"I'm trying to help her as her son to come back to the U.S.," Jerimiah said per Pakistani outlet The News International. "The news and people they all making fun of her and showing her personal private IDs without permission.”
Robinson’s situation escalated further when she allegedly caused a scene at Karachi International Airport. The woman reportedly refused immigration procedures and chose not to board a flight to the U.S.
Pakistani authorities reportedly took her into custody for a mental health evaluation, though details about her admission and discharge aren’t clear.
In light of her newly found fame, Robinson’s reported criminal history, which included a 2021 arrest in Charleston County, South Carolina, for "entering premises without warning," came to light. It’s not clear if her charges were proven in court.
Although The Independent reported on Tuesday that Robinson is en route to New York, the specifics remain unclear, including who is facilitating her return.
