Warning: This post mentions body dysmorphia.

Typically, when we talk about plastic surgery and celebrties, we mostly think of famous women. However, a growing number of famous men have been opening up about their experiences with cosmetic work — and their regrets.

Here are 7 famous men who regretted cosmetic surgery:

1. In 2012, singer Kenny Rogers told CBS This Morning that he regretted getting plastic surgery because he was "trying to hide" himself.

2. Mickey Rourke reportedly had multiple nose operations and other cosmetic work to address his facial injuries from boxing. In 2009, he reportedly told the Daily Mail, "Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together."

3. In 2022, Simon Cowell reportedly told The Sun that "there was a stage where [he] might have gone a bit too far" with dermal fillers before he dissolved them. He said, "I saw a picture of me from 'before' the other day and didn't recognize it as me first of all."

4. In his 2023 memoir If You Would Have Told Me: A Memoir, John Stamos reportedly wrote that he decided to get a nose job after seeing himself on TV for the first time and feeling like his nose was "beginning to detract from [his] performance." However, he was unsatisfied with how it turned out. He said, "My nose [looked] kind of pushed up like Peter Pan or something."

5. Flipping Out's Jeff Lewis decided to dissolve his decades-old lip filler after his dermatologist refused to do any work on him until they "fixed" his lips. During a 2022 appearance on Sirius XM, he said, "What happened was the filler [from] 20 years ago…it migrated into both sides of my upper lip and created, like, two balls."

6. In a 2020 YouTube video, radio personality and actor Zahid Ahmed opened up about his nose job, which he got because he was insecure about how his nose looked from certain angles on camera. He reportedly said, "I thought it was a common procedure; it won't be such a big deal; a lot of people in the world get it done, and I can get it too. But in my case, it went terribly wrong."

7. And finally, in a 2015 HuffPost essay about his experiences with body dysmorphia, Modern Family actor Reid Ewing said that, starting at 19, he began getting multiple cosmetic procedures, such as cheek and chin implants, with four different doctors. He said, "Each procedure would cause a new problem that I would have to fix with another procedure."
