90 Day Fiance’s Jasmine Shares Definition of Rejection as ‘Abuse’ After ‘Last Resort’ Fight With Gino

90 Day Fiancé star Jasmine Pineda is speaking out about a form of “emotional abuse” after a heated fight with husband Gino Palazzolo played out on 90 Day: The Last Resort.

The Panama native, 38, took to her Instagram Stories to share a Google AI overview response after she asked the question, “Is rejection abuse?” on Monday, February 3.

“While a single instance of rejection is not considered abuse, repeated and deliberate rejection, especially when used as a form of manipulation or control, can be considered a form of emotional abuse, particularly when it occurs within a power dynamic like a parent-child relationship or a romantic partnership where one person is consistently rejected and made to feel worthless or unloved as a result,” the explanation read.

Key points from the definition noted that “context matters,” as well as “intention and behavior.”

“A casual rejection from a stranger is very different from consistent rejection from a partner or caregiver,” the overview read, later noting, “If someone is intentionally using rejection to control or harm another person’s emotions, it can be abusive.”

Jasmine’s post came one week after she and Gino, 55, fought about their intimacy issues in front of their costars during the January 27 episode of 90 Day: The Last Resort. The couple had previously revealed at the couple’s therapy retreat that they had not been intimate or even slept in the same bed in at least eight months.

When asked by the group why he didn’t want to sleep with his wife, Gino said, “I’ll tell you what, because we fight every day. Plus, she doesn’t listen to me. We have no emotional connection any longer and I’m not going to.”

Jasmine, who had attempted to be intimate with Gino earlier that day and admitted to feeling hurt when he denied her advances, responded, “If you cannot give it to me, let me find it in someone else and accept the deal of having an open marriage.”

The reality star pitched the idea of an open marriage to her husband during a previous episode, but Gino was firmly against it and made it clear during the January 27 episode that he hadn’t changed his mind.

“Sounds like we’re not going to be able to be together,” he told Jasmine, which prompted her to storm out of the room in anger.

In another post on Monday, Jasmine shared a throwback video from February 2024, revealing that it was recorded on Valentine’s Day, which was “a few weeks before going to the Last Resort for couple’s therapy.” The clip showed the former teacher in tears as she explained how hurt she was that Gino “requested separate hotel rooms” during a trip for the romantic holiday.

“Which really broke my heart because even though that is, like, the situation we have at home, it breaks my heart to know that even on this trip on Valentine’s Day, he wanted that,” she said. “But, since I traveled first, I haven’t seen him in two days and I just saw him downstairs and he was so sweet to me … He was excited to see me, it was the first time in so many months. He got me a card for Valentine’s Day.”

Jasmine shared a photo of Gino’s card, which read, “Amor, Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m so happy we are together finally! We have had some difficult challenges along the way but we always find a way to overcome. Te amo muchisimo. Love, Gino.”

Nearly a year later, Jasmine posted about her Valentine amid rumors that she and Gino are no longer together.

“Pick the gentle one. The kind one. The one who brings you peace,” read a message on her Instagram Stories shared on February 1. “The protective one. The one who’s sure of you. The one who loves you and respects you. The one who understands your silence. For this & more … you’re my Valentine.”

Fans have speculated that Gino and Jasmine split because the mom of two is currently pregnant with her third child, but the Michigan native is not the father, a source confirmed to In Touch in January.

“Almost certain it’s the Matt guy,” the insider said, referring to her rumored boyfriend, Matthew Branistareanu, whom she is said to have met at a gym in Michigan.
