Rayne Fernandez is giving 90 Day Fiancé fans a rare, inside look at how tight NDAs [non-disclosure agreements] for TLC cast members can be.

The 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star, 38, shared a screenshot seemingly from a producer via her Instagram on Thursday, January 23. “Hi Rayne,” the message began. “Your agreement and exclusivity is still in effect through [censored]. If there are any interviews or other projects you would like to participate in during this time, please check in with me for considerations and approvals.”

TLC is known for its strict guidelines for cast members while the show is still airing. Rayne, who notably skipped the season 7 tell-all which began airing earlier this month, explained her disapproval in the caption and said it was best she no longer got “involved” with “reality TV.”

“Unless they flipped my image but they already tried to tear it down for me,” she wrote in a lengthy caption. “I’d rather get involved with movies or something bigger. There has to be other shows out there. It’s like you’re treated like the bottom of the barrel with these ones.”

“I’m not fired. I’m not hated, I’m just a fool and they don’t like that,” Rayne concluded. “I fought for love, everyone else around me was fighting for money. Why entertain this. I am better that this.”

In September 2024, Rayne made her franchise debut on season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days alongside her long-distance boyfriend, Chidi Ikpeamaeze. During the spinoff, the New Mexico native traveled overseas to meet her “Nigerian Prince Charming” for the first time, whom she had originally connected online with five years earlier.

Their time on the show mostly focused on Rayne’s arguments with some of Chidi’s family members. Rayne was disappointed to learn Chidi planned to abstain from sex until they were married. Due to this, Chidi wanted Rayne to stay with his sister instead of at his home. However, Chidi claimed to have informed Rayne about his abstinence before she arrived.

Rayne and Chidi appeared in several episodes that highlighted their romance and eventual breakup. The pair skipped the season’s tell-all and Rayne had been vocal in the last few days about their absence.

In an emotional video on Instagram, Rayne listed two reasons to why she didn’t attend the season 7 tell-all. She said she wasn’t “allowed” to “confront the whole situation,” alluding to events with Chidi that happened off camera.

“And two, you wanted to take your sister and your brother, and one of your little friends, to go, try to like basically fight with me,” she said on January 17. “I’m not in for that. So, therefore, I said no. I’m not fired.”

A few days later, Rayne provided more insight into her decision not to participate, explaining to fans that she had given the network plenty of advance notice that she planned to skip filming.

“Production of course wouldn’t allow me to talk about their involvement and as well as the truth of what really happened,” she explained on Monday, January 20. “They also wouldn’t let me confront just Chidi. They also wanted me to fight with the sister, and continued on with the drama.”
