90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 5 introduced Shekinah Garner and her long-distance love, Sarper Güven, who met on a dating app while Shekinah was visiting Turkey with a friend.
The two hit it off instantly on their first date, and Shekinah planned a second trip to Turkey to see him just two months later. As the couple continued to document their romance in season 6, Shekinah, who is no stranger to plastic surgery, revealed that her boyfriend was “designing her new nose.”
With plastic surgery on their minds, fans are eager to see old photos of Shekinah to compare her previous appearance with how she looks today.
How Old Is Shekinah on ‘90 Day Fiance’?
Shekinah is 43 years old as of publication. She celebrated her 43rd birthday on November 20, 2024, and is only two years younger than Sarper, who turned 45 years old on the exact same day. However, many fans have noticed that Shekinah looks younger than she is.

The reality star, who works as a licensed esthetician, has been honest about her plastic surgery procedures. In December 2022, she revealed that she had several lifts done when she was 39 years old in April 2021, including her brows, mid face, lower face and neck. She also received “Halo Laser resurfacing” on her neck and face.
“I was age 39 in these photos and videos… and feeling like I had tried everything besides surgery,” Shekinah wrote alongside a compilation video on Instagram. “I had gone through a number of tragic losses in life that I felt prematurely aged me; and I was not happy with the loss of volume in my face and skin laxity in my neck. I had tried every facial product and treatment available to me, and obviously nothing provided surgery-like results… so it was time for actual surgery.”
Shekinah continued on to say that she was “so much more confident” in her appearance after the procedures, and she was “forever grateful” to her doctors for their hard work.
However, not all of Shekinah’s plastic surgery experiences have been positive. Back in January 2021, the TLC personality took to her Instagram Stories with a lengthy rant about a botched PDO thread lift, which is meant to be less invasive than facelift surgery. Shekinah revealed that she was forced to have the threads removed when they started protruding from her face.
“Makes me so sad to see these ripples and dents in my face from threads even a year after having them done,” she wrote.
After having the threads removed with tweezers, Shekinah was left with permanent scarring on her cheek.
The reality TV star detailed her lengthy list of plastic procedures after being asked by fans on social media in November 2023.
“I did have two facelifts, two neck lifts, a brow lift, an upper blepharoplasty, I’ve had lip injections, I’ve had consistently had Botox, I’ve had two nose jobs,” she shared via her Instagram Stories. “I’ve had two boob jobs, I’ve had a lot of surgeries but most of them were on my face. My breasts were my only body surgery.”
During the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 tell-all that aired in November 2024, fans noticed that Shekinah’s face looked quite swollen. She explained on social media that her new look was because she had her facial fillers removed ten days before filming the tell-all.
“I had all of my facial fillers removed by @drmirzafirat and fat transfer to the hollows under my eyes and temples,” she explained. “It was a risk being that the tell-all was coming up so soon, and my swelling most likely wouldn’t be gone until a full month later. Also with fat transfer doctors have to over-fill because a percentage of the fat doesn’t survive the transfer and ‘dies off’ so they have to consider the end result being less filled than when they are doing the transfer.”
However, she said she had no “regrets” about doing the procedure when she did. “I trust this doctor and wanted to have this done before returning to the States,” Shekinah added. The reality star also insisted that she will “not get fillers anywhere but in my lips going forward.”
Around the same time, she admitted to having “really bad Botox done in Turkey” before filming the last scenes of season 6. “It froze half my jaw, making my mouth crooked and chin look huge,” she said. “I was so upset it ruined my face for these major life moments.”

Sarper has not undergone any plastic surgery except for a procedure where his nose was fixed after it was broken.
“That wasn’t really plastic surgery, that was more of a revision surgery,” the California native explained via social media in November 2023. “He is natural. He had a lot of baby fat, which was so cute, on his face during high school and that’s gone away.”

In September 2023, older photos of Shekinah began to circulate online, including one from her time as a contestant on The Millionaire Matchmaker in 2013. Many fans noticed how much she has changed since then, especially in her lips.
“Man, Shekinah been trying to be famous forever… you may not have recognized her but she was on reality TV before with a different face,” one fan tweeted

90 Day Fiance’s Shekinah Revealed Sarper Was Designing Her New Nose
During their season 6 return on the spinoff, Shekinah revealed that the Turkey native was responsible for her latest plastic surgery procedure, having specifically chosen her new nose.
“I’m getting my nose done. Finally, it’s been bothering me forever,” the Los Angeles resident explained to her friends during the July 2024 season premiere. “And Sarper has actually designed a new nose for me.”
Her friends were not happy to hear the news and asked Shekinah how she came to allow Sarper to make that decision.
“You know, like, he says, ‘Leave it to me. Leave it to me. I’ll tell the doctor what to do. I’ll tell him I know what you need,’ and I’m like, ‘OK, I trust you because I do,'” the reality TV personality recalled.
90 Day Fiance’s Shekinah Opened Up About Cosmetic Procedures in 2010
In September 2024, a clip of Shekinah’s appearance on a 2010 episode of the game show Baggage circulated online. She revealed that she wore one pound of hair extensions while trying to impress a potential suitor.
Later on in the clip, Shekinah admitted that she spent $400 a week on botox and chemical peels. She explained wanted to look “as youthful as [she] can” because she works in the beauty industry.
While Shekinah refused to apologize for her beauty process, the suitor said he preferred more natural women and sent her home.
