90 Day Fiancé star Statler Riley revealed the real reason she didn’t participate in the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 tell-all.
After shutting down rumors that she wasn’t invited to participate because she “revealed things before they aired,” Statler, 33, claimed that she didn’t appear on the tell-all because she “spoke out against the manipulation tactics and illegal s–t that Sharp Entertainment/90 Day Fiancé does.”
“There has only been one other person who wasn’t invited in the entire history of 90 Day. It’s an honor to be the first to cut my puppet strings and I’ll keep speaking out about it,” she wrote in an Instagram Stories post, which was reshared by fan account 90daythemelanatedway.
Statler concluded the post by promising to continue sharing her claims on an upcoming episode of the “Tell All Podcast.”
Not only was Statler absent from the tell-all, which began with part one on Monday, November 18, but so was her ex Dempsey Wilkinson. Season 6 of the TLC show featured Statler and Dempsey, 30, navigating their romance as they lived in a van together. However, Statler seemingly revealed in now-deleted Instagram posts that they had called it quits before the season premiered.
In addition to telling fans about her relationship status, Statler also accused Dempsey of taking advantage of her. “How it feels knowing your ex is living rent-free in the van [and] you are paying $700/month rent for her to do so?” she wrote at the time. “Unable to rent your own place w/out going into further debt while she lives debt free b/c you unknowingly helped her pay off her debts b/c she manipulated you into taking on more. Can I afford her $700/month van rent and my own apartment rent? Find out next time on ‘You’ve been scammed by a British gypsy & everyone saw it coming but you!’”
While the initial posts were removed from social media, Statler continued to share updates by confirming that she was single in another post shared in September. She later accused Dempsey of cheating on her, as well as slammed her for not returning her childhood stuffed animals after their split. However, Dempsey confirmed that Statler had returned the stuffed animals by November.
For her part, Dempsey accused Statler of “bullying” her and claimed that she spread “malicious lies” about her.
Meanwhile, Statler revealed that she wouldn’t appear on the season 6 tell-all when it was being filmed in New York City in August. “Accomplished what I needed to in NYC,” she wrote on her Instagram Story at the time. “Apologies to all the people I didn’t meet – was a bit of a rushed trip! Thanks 90 day/Sharp Entertainment for showing me how truly scared you are of little old me by refusing to have me at the Tell All.”
While Statler did not reveal why she and Demsey weren’t part of the reunion at the time, several fans took to social media to speculate that they weren’t invited because they shared spoilers ahead of the season. “She probably wasn’t invited to the Tell All because she spoiled her season right before it aired. The Tell All is usually filmed midway through the season,” one social media user wrote.
