Mike Tyson is known as the “Baddest Man on the Planet” in the boxing ring but to his kids — he’s simply known as dad.
How Many Kids Does Mike Tyson Have?
The controversial fighter is a father to seven children: Miki, Ramsey, Amir, Miguel, Milan, Morocco, and Exodus, who sadly passed away in 2009 at the age of 4. His children range in age from 34 to 13.
Tyson welcomed his first child, daughter Miki, with Kimberly Scarborough. He shares his second and third children, Ramsey and Amir, with Monica Turner. He welcomed his next two kids, Miguel and Exodus, with his former partner Sol Xochitl.
His third wife, Lakiha Spicer, is the mother of his two youngest children, Milan and Morocco.
Mike has spoken candidly about fatherhood, admitting he was selfish early in his career. “Well, listen, there’s a long journey because everything didn’t start out the way it is today,’’ Tyson told USA Today in November 2024. “You know, I was a young kid. I was really basically only based my life on my career. I didn’t think much about my children. I was very self-centered at that time.’’
The New York native explained that his relationship with his kids gradually improved over time. “As time went on in life, going through adversity, we’ve grown and gained a bond and we’re friends now,’’ he said. “But I had to go through the difficulties.’’
While preparing for his November 2024 fight against YouTube star-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul, Mike said the event would be eye-opening for his children, especially his 16-year-old daughter Milan, as he promised to unleash the “devil himself” in the ring.
“She saw me on television fight with Roy Jones [in 2020], but she has never seen anything of this magnitude in her life,” the boxer told ESPN reporters. “My kids don’t really think of me as the baddest man on the planet. They look at me as Dad [and tell me] sit your old ass down.”
What Happened to Mike Tyson’s Daughter Exodus?
Mike’s fifth child tragically passed away at the age of four in May 2009 after her neck became caught in a treadmill cord. “There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus,” Tyson said in a statement at the time.
He later called it a “dark moment” in life as he struggled to deal with the death and said his new career as an actor was helping him cope.
“I really was beating myself up over my daughter. I was staying in the house, depressed; it was a dark moment in my life. (Acting) keeps me functioning as a healthy human being,” he told Entertainment Tonight in August 2009. “I have been told the pain never stops but you get over it. I am going through a process, trying to heal. I am in denial, because I don’t know how to handle it. I don’t know what to do or say. I appreciate everybody who supported me.”
Tyson continues to honor his daughter’s memory; ahead of his November 2024 fight against Jake Paul, he was seen wearing shorts featuring “Exodus Sierra Tyson” embroidered above an American flag.
