A New ‘Flip Off’ Promo Shows That Christina Haack’s Divorce From Josh Hall Was a Sudden Decision

Christina Haack is gearing up for a 2025 launch of her HGTV show, The Flip Off, with her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. The home renovation series was originally supposed to include Haack’s estranged husband Josh Hall, but he’s been dropped from the show amid their divorce. Still, their split might have been a hasty decision after a new promo dropped on Instagram.

The clip shows Haack and Heather gabbing about the preparations Tarek made for getting camera ready. Heather was joking about her husband getting his “eyebrows threaded,” when eagle-eyed fans noticed Hall getting prepped with the wardrobe team in the background. The former couple’s divorce seemed to be a last-minute decision, especially since the show was in the production stage. 

“Is this old? Josh is in the video?? He’s not back, is he?,” asked one follower in the comments. Another person chimed in to clear up the confusion, “it’s old. They are wear the same outfits as the original promo.” According to People, the promotional photos and videos were released in May, three months ahead of their divorce filing. 

Those clips could be an important part of Hall’s financial battle with his ex because he is asking for the rights to the Discovery and HGTV shows he and Haack worked on together during their three-year marriage, including Christina on the Coast. Fox News Digital confirmed in August that they did not have a prenuptial agreement, so California’s community property laws will likely prevail. 

Family law attorney, Aliette H. Carolan, Esq., who is not representing either party in their divorce, gave SheKnows her opinion on Hall’s case in July.

“With regard to the rights to the shows they created jointly and during the marriage, it appears California’s community properties should apply. Josh will likely preserve his rights to the shows he participated in,” Carolan explained. “Christina would share in those rights, as well, just like he is likely to reap some financial benefit in connection to her rights and interests in the shows produced during the marriage.”

Their divorce is likely to drag on as they fight over Haack’s Tennessee home, spousal support, and the show rights. For Haack and Hall, it’s turned out to be a cautionary tale about financial assets in a marriage.
