Acer announced Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11 handheld gaming devices; Acer Nitro mobile controller also introduced

Acer has launched its latest handheld gaming consoles, the Nitro Blaze 11 and Nitro Blaze 8, at CES 2025. These consoles run on Windows 11 Home and feature an AMD Ryzen 7 APU, and 16GB of RAM. Both consoles have a 55Wh battery and physical controls around the display. The company has also included an Acer Nitro mobile controller. Check out the details below.

Acer Nitro Blaze Handheld Gaming Device

The Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11 handheld gaming devices use AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processors with up to 39 TOPS performance and AMD Radeon 780M graphics. The devices have 144 Hz WQXGA touch displays (8.8-inch or 10.95-inch), Radeon Super Resolution and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution technology for fast graphical upscaling and high-quality frames. Users may expect fast-paced action and low loading times thanks to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe storage.

The Nitro Blaze 11 is a gaming device with a built-in hotkey that links to the Acer Game Space software. It has DTS:X Ultra Audio and Hall Effect triggers and sticks, detachable controllers for solo and connected play, a built-in stand, and a front-facing camera for video calls and streaming. The devices support USB 4 (Type-C), USB 3.2 (Type-C), Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. Users will also get three months of PC Game Pass, which includes games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Ara: History Untold, and EA Play titles.

The Acer Nitro Blaze 8 (GN782U) will be available in North America in Q2, starting at USD 899, and in EMEA in Q2, starting at EUR 999.

The Acer Nitro Blaze 11 (GN7112U) will be available in North America in Q2, starting at USD 1,099, and in EMEA in Q2, starting at EUR 1,199.

The Nitro Mobile Gaming Controller is a compact, foldable device that works with Android and iOS devices and has an adjustable design for displays up to 8.3 inches. It connects to phones via a USB Type-C connection and has rubber pads for a solid grip. It also supports pass-through 18W quick charging, allowing for uninterrupted gameplay.

The Acer Nitro Mobile Gaming Controller will be available in North America in Q2, starting at USD 69.99, and in EMEA in Q1, starting at EUR 89.99.
