Dayle Haddon has tragically died.
The Canadian actress and former supermodel unfortunately passed away at 76 on Friday as the result of carbon monoxide poisoning, according to the Solebury Township Police Department. A representative for the PD revealed to People that officers responded to the home of Dayle’s daughter Ryan Haddon and son-in-law, Hallmark star Marc Blucas, at around 6:30 a.m. local time on Friday after receiving a distress call.

When they arrived, they found a 76-year-old man lying unconscious on the floor and rushed him to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey for treatment. That man was later confirmed to be Walter Blucas, the father of Marc. Unfortunately, a deceased woman was also found in the home in a second-story bedroom. That woman turned out to be Dayle.
So sad…
The PD revealed in a statement that investigation is underway, but noted the New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company “detected a high level of carbon monoxide in the property.” Apparently two medics even had to be hospitalized for carbon monoxide exposure while an officer was treated at the scene! So scary!
In an update, the PD confirmed the suspected carbon monoxide leak and gave insight into what caused it:
“The investigation indicates a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak. The officers and members of the Solebury Township Police Department wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Haddon and Blucas families.”
What a tragedy… RIGHT after Christmas. In the wake of her death, daughter Ryan has paid tribute to her on Instagram. See HERE.
Our hearts are with the Haddon and Blucas families during this unimaginable time. Rest in peace, Dayle.
