Actresses now watch Friday night TV together after shared global fame

Celebrity Gogglebox welcomes Saskia Reeves and Kristin Scott Thomas to the sofa! To raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, Channel 4 has recruited the Slow Horses actresses to watch a bit of TV.

The weird sensation of watching people watch TV is Gogglebox, and that’s where Saskia Reeves and Kristin Scott Thomas come in on October 25 for a brand new SUTC-themed episode.

Saskia Reeves and Kristin Scott Thomas are the acting duo joining Celebrity Gogglebox Stand Up To Cancer’s October 25 episode. They’ll be taking part in a bid to raise money for people affected by cancer.

In the promo for the episode debut, viewers didn’t recognise Reeves. Aside from Apple TV drama Slow Horses,. she is known for being Lady Jessica in the 2000 TV mini-series version of Dune.

She also rose to fame in Close My Eyes alongside Alan Rickman, while Thomas is known for playing Fiona in Four Weddings & a Funeral, Katherine Clifton in The English Patient and Lady Sylvia in Gosford Park.

Slow Horses made them BFFs

Appearing on Slow Horses turned Saskia and Kristin into best friends. They attend every premiere for the Apple TV drama series joined at the hip, and now regularly watch TV on Friday nights together.

Reeves told The Guardian: “We got together in 2020 and then had to deal with lockdown. I told myself: don’t worry, they’re going to make this happen, because Gary Oldman’s in it, and Kristin Scott Thomas.”

“They weren’t going to let that go,” she added. Now, they’re showing their real personalities as fans dub them “two superb actresses” and “can’t wait” to watch them on the Gogglebox sofa.
