Adele was brought to tears mid-performance after spotting Celine Dion sitting in the audience at her Las Vegas residency show.
Adele was in the middle of singing “When We Were Young” at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace when she spotted Dion in the crowd. In a video captured of the heartwarming moment, is visibly shocked and hurries over to Dion for an emotional embrace.
Both Adele and Celine were moved to tears by the interaction, which culminated in Adele introducing Dion to the crowd. The legendary singer of "My Heart Will Go On" received a standing ovation, adding a bow on an already perfect moment.
Adele’s moment was already a tear-jerker but probably doubly so for fans as the Brit wraps up her shows in Vegas to take an extended break from music.
A couple of months ago, Adele made it clear at a show in Munich that she would be stepping away from music for “an incredibly long time.”
“I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now,” the singer said in a heartfelt speech to her fans. “I want to live my life that I’ve been building, and I will miss you terribly.
“I will not see you for an incredibly long time,” she continued. “And I will hold you dear in my heart for the whole length of my break.”
One of her reasons for taking a break from music could be her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Rich Paul. After a fan proposed to the singer on stage at one of her Munich shows, Adele responded jokingly, “I can’t marry you, I’m already getting married.”
