Former three-time AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm has returned to the ring in a bewildering fashion, and her former protege-turned-foe Mariah May has some reactions to it. In short: she's not impressed.

May defeated Storm to win the Women's World Championship at All In in August, stripping her of the belt and her historic third reign. May made her AEW debut in November 2023, initially portraying herself as an enthusiastic Toni Storm superfan.
She mimicked Storm's style in the ring (including wearing her old outfits and using her early entrance music) and frequently paid tribute to her idol, creating the illusion of a devoted admirer.
The true nature of her character was revealed in July after May claimed victory in the Women's Owen Hart Cup. In a shocking turn, she attacked Storm and Storm's on-screen butler, Luther, with the Owen Hart Foundation title belt and a high heel on the entrance ramp.
This vicious assault marked May's official shift back to her heel persona, and she subsequently rechristened herself as "The Glamour."

Now that Storm has returned to AEW (and debuted in ROH), May is openly expressing her disdain for the former champ.
"I honestly don't care. To me, I was in the main event of Dynamite Winter is Coming, a special show for us," May said in a recent interview with Jimmy V3. "I was wrestling my best friend Mina and I was trying to give Mina this amazing opportunity to be a champion and be on American TV. You've got Thunder Rosa in the crowd holding up these weird signs and weird puns, trying to be funny. Toni Storm is coming out, saying she is 'All Elite.' It's honestly my song. That whole look, I owned that. I don't know. I don't really care. As I said when I came back after, I'll do the same thing to every single one of these girls as many times as I need to before they get the message."
In another appearance on Nico Knows Best, May also said: "I am the most dominant champion in AEW, look at what I did to Toni Storm. Toni Storm was the face of our division, she would honestly be the face of the company if it wasn't for me, and what I did to her, I destroyed her."
Storm is currently in the middle of an apparent "amnesia" storyline, in which she suddenly "retired" following her loss to May and has returned apparently thinking she is an AEW rookie and using her pre-Timeless persona. It's probably only a matter of time until she faces off against May again.
