Airtel outperformed rivals in data upload performance during Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) Independent Drive Tests in Delhi LSA, reaching an average upload speed of 34.37 Mbps across a 635 km area, including 210 km of Metro lines.
Airtel in Delhi boasts the lowest call drop rates and the fastest upload speeds, assuring smooth connectivity for its customers.

The TRAI Report for the Delhi Region reveals Airtel as the top provider with 34.37 Mbps data upload speed, followed by Jio at 23.91 Mbps. VIL and MTNL lagged with speeds of 4.59 Mbps and 1.67 Mbps, respectively. Airtel maintains a high call setup success rate of 99.25%, ensuring reliability for voice calls. It also has the industry’s lowest call drop rate of 0.12%, setting a benchmark for uninterrupted connectivity. Airtel’s call quality score of 4.01 is impressive.

In order to evaluate the quality of service offered by cellular mobile telephone service providers for voice and data services, TRAI conducted Independent Drive Tests (IDT) in four cities: New Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmednagar, and Hyderabad. Using a variety of technologies, the tests evaluated the performance of Bharti Airtel Ltd., BSNL/MTNL, Reliance JIO Infocom Ltd., and Vodafone Idea Ltd., providing services in Licensed Service Areas using various technologies. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for voice and data services were measured for all telecom service providers operating in the region, and data service metrics included data throughput, packet drop rate, video streaming delay, latency, and jitter.
