Alex Cooper gave her parents the ultimate gift this holiday season.

On a Christmas episode of Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, the host spoke about her mother and father selling her childhood home in Pennsylvania and why she and her husband, Matt Kaplan, wanted to do something special for her parents so they could be close to the newlywed couple.

“My parents are officially moving to Los Angeles, California, and I bought them a house,” Cooper said.

She continued: “It makes me emotional thinking about it because when I started Call Her Daddy, I had somewhat of a vision of what I hoped this would turn into. But, to be able to go to my parents this past summer and with Matt, and be like, ‘I want to buy you guys a house and I want to do this for you and I am so excited to be able to do this for you and I want nothing in return. I just want your happiness and I want you guys to enjoy it and thrive and maybe babysit sometimes if I have kids.'”

It was announced in August that the Call Her Daddy would be moving from Spotify to SiriusXM Podcast Network in a $125 million, three-year deal. Cooper previously made history in 2021 with her three-year $60 million Spotify deal. Her passionate fan base, known as the “Daddy Gang” have made Call Her Daddy Spotify’s No. 2 podcast, placing second to Joe Rogan’s Joe Rogan Experience.

Cooper shared stories about her parents’ sacrifices, such as hauling her to different counties to play tournaments in hopes that she would score a soccer scholarship for college. Her mom also supported her film aspirations, taking Cooper to the community college she wanted to use as a backdrop for her movie.

“I would not be where I am today without my parents,” she admitted. “Buying them a house is the least I could fucking do because they sacrificed financially, emotionally [and] they sacrificed with my other siblings in moments for me.”
