Amanda Holden got quite the Christmas gift from husband Chris Hughes, who reportedly upgraded her engagement ring to one worth four times the value of her original sparkler.
The Britain's Got Talent judge, who was back on duty in Blackpool today (Janaury 7), has been married to Chris since 2008 and they have two daughters, Alexa and Hollie. They first started dating in 2004 and last year marked their 20th anniversary as a couple.
Chris proposed with a ring featuring a 2.5 carat emerald-cut diamond, which is estimated to be worth around £40,000. However the new ring boasts a 6-7 carat oval-cut diamond, set in a platinum head with a hidden halo mounted on a yellow gold band.
Diamond experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have examined the ring and estimate it is worth a whopping £200,000. Managing director Zack Stone gave his expert opinion.
"Since the festive season, Amanda has been flaunting a stunning new engagement ring featuring a 6-7 carat oval-cut diamond, set in a platinum head with a hidden halo. The impressive diamond is mounted on a yellow gold band.

"Often associated with unity and eternity because of its continuous, rounded form, oval cut stones represent a never-ending bond – making it the perfect choice for Amanda, who celebrated her 16th wedding anniversary to Chris last month.
In contrast, her first engagement ring was more modest, featuring a 2.5 carat emerald-cut diamond, I’d estimate it to be worth around £40,000. Her new ring, however, is likely to be worth around £200,000 – over four times the price of her original,” he said.
Amanda's new ring is bang on trend in celebrity circles with over a third opting for a gold band including Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts.
Her lavish upgrade is also not uncommon in celeb circles. Hailey Bieber frequently flaunts her stunning upgrades, while Victoria Beckham boasts an astounding 15 sparkling pieces given to her by hubsand David over the years.

Becks got down on bended knee with a three-carat marquise-cut diamond set on a plain yellow gold band, which Steven Stone experts estimate is worth around £65,000.
However in the quarter of a century since then her collection has increased and the value of all her rings combined is estimated to exceed £32,000,000.
Meghan Markle also upgraded her ring after just 18 months. When Prince Harry proposed in 2017, he gave the Suits star a stunning three-stone engagement ring, featuring diamonds from Princess Diana’s personal jewellery collection.
However a year and a half later Meghan made subtle alterations to the ring, replacing the yellow gold band with a delicate diamond-studded band.
