Jolie's role in her new project

Jolie plays a filmmaker, one of three women whose lives will intersect during Fashion Week. This role aligns perfectly with the actress's interest in fashion, as she supports design businesses through her initiative Atelier Jolie.

Reports suggest that filming for Stitches will likely begin in early 2025, and the film will be produced by CG Cinema, the company of Charles Gillibert, based in Paris, in collaboration with Zhang Xin and William Horberg of Closer Media.

Angelina is motivated by challenges that involve developing new talents

This announcement comes after her involvement in Maria, a film in which she portrayed the famous Greek opera singer Maria Callas during her final years in the 1970s.

The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it received an eight-minute standing ovation. Regarding her portrayal of Callas, Jolie shared in an interview, "Pablo (Larra?n, director) expected me to learn, to really sing... to understand and study opera, to immerse completely and do the work."

The actress revealed that, beyond the technical aspects of music, the experience was deeply emotional.

"The challenge wasn't technical, it was an emotional experience to find my voice, to be in my body, to express myself," Jolie explained.

Although there is talk of a potential Oscar nomination for her role in Maria, Jolie has admitted that recognition would be a "bonus."

Speaking with Best UK, she confessed, "It means a lot that somebody thinks you did a good job. That means everything to me. That kind of stuff is exciting and very, very nice. But I'm just so happy we were able to do this film. I'm genuinely so happy."

Jolie also reflected on what she learned during filming, saying the experience was "the therapy" she didn't realize she needed.

"I had seven months of opera classes, great teachers, and Italian lessons, and a supportive team that was going to help me," she commented.

Angelina Jolie continues to challenge herself with complex and meaningful roles, taking her career to new heights while staying true to her passion for art and fashion.
