Ant Anstead Reveals Where He Stands With Ex Christina Haack After Years-Long Feud

Ant Anstead and Christina Haack had a contentious divorce and child custody case in 2021 after only three years of marriage. They weren’t exactly co-parenting their son, Hudson, 5, amicably until a turn of events in Haack’s personal life changed everything this year. 

The 42-year-old HGTV personality’s split from her third husband, Josh Hall, led her to mend fences with Anstead. That friendship was clearly on display in Haack’s Dec. 7 Instagram post. She shared a clip of her ex’s upcoming Discovery + show, Born Mechanic, which involves restoring vintage cars and renovating his parents’ old barn. She captioned the video, “Congratulations to @ant_anstead on his new show “Born Mechanic” … premiering on 12/13 on @streamonmax and @discoveryplus.” (You can see the post here.)

Anstead chimed in the comments, “Thank you (shout with any pointers) x.” That warm exchange showed how far they’ve come in the last three years and his girlfriend, Renée Zellweger, might be responsible for their healing. “She convinced Ant it’s silly to hold grudges and hated seeing him so worked up. Things are better now. She’s extended the olive branch to Christina, too, and looking forward to a drama-free holiday season,” a Life & Style source claimed in October. 

The Celebrity IOU Joyride star even filmed a cameo with Haack for her upcoming show, The Flip Off, also starring her first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. Hall was supposed to star with the trio but was booted from the show after he filed for divorce from Haack in July. The move came after a fan suggested Anstead step into the role, Haack followed Anstead on Instagram and the feud found a sweet resolution. 

Haack opened up to Backgrid, via People, in July about the olive branch she extended to her ex, “Ant and I share Hudson… and I feel like he deserves to have us get along.” It sounds like the former couple has found peace in an unexpected way and their support of each other will only make Hudson’s life even better in the future.
