Apex Legends players want “horrible” Ash nerf reverted immediately

Apex Legends players are asking Respawn to undo a change to the most popular legend in Season 24, Ash, as it’s a “horrible” tweak.

Over the last five years, Apex Legends has been dominated by a few different legends. This is typically the case when a new character has been rolled out or a big set of updates have been implemented.

In Season 24, Ash, who had been lingering around the battle royale’s meta for a little bit, shot up to become to the new go-to. As per ApexLegendsStatus, the assault legend is way out in front with a pick rate of more than 24%. That is 11% above the second-placed Lifeline.

The big boost that Ash got came in the form of another passive, a dash ability that allows her to rapidly reposition in close combat, or close the distance quickly on a tethered target.

That ability has been the source of more than a few headaches, with a few players claiming she is a little overpowered as a result. Even more so than the previous forms of Pathfinder and Seer.

Respawn have nerfed the ability a tad in the February 24 update, making it so players are prevented from accidentally triggering it. Yet, the move hasn’t gone down well with fans.

“I am begging you, revert the Ash change it feels horrible,” Mac ‘Albralelie’ Beckwith said. “The new Ash feels Absolutely terrible on MNK, you have to wait 20 seconds after you jump to get the dash it’s really bad please add an option to revert this,” Redditor TomatofarmShorter chimed in.

Heads up, legends! We just pushed a patch to @PlayApex to address some issues that have popped up since launch. Fixes include:
-Updated Ash's dash to prevent players from accidentally triggering it
-Resolved a visual delay when deploying Wattson's fences
-Mythic R-301 attachments…

“Dash shouldn’t ignore my button press when I intentionally press it. Just revert that change, thanks,” another player urged. “Nah bro the Ash change ain’t it. Revert please,” Taxi2G added.

Others suggested a “middle ground” of around 7.5 seconds for Ash’s delay or a different bind. Though, who knows if Respawn will take that feedback onboard.
