Apple has started mass production of its next-generation chipset M5. As per new reports from a South Korean publication ETNews, the company has started its works for M5 chipset and is expected to unveil it in next coming months. However, nothing has been confirmed officially, but we can soon see Apple’s next-generation silicon chip which is expected to revolutionize the performance and efficiency of its products.
As per report, Apple’s upcoming M5 chipset packaging will be handled by OSAT companies which are Taiwan’s ASE, US Amkor, and China’s JCET. The report further mentions that the SE was the first company to start the mass production. However, the rest two will follow sequentially. Reportedly, the M5 chipset will feature three variants, the vanilla M5, the M5 Pro, and high-end variant M5 Ultra. As far as we know, the first production will be of M5 chipset. The Apple’s advanced M5 Pro and M5 Ultra processors are expected to underwent for the mass production in upcoming months.
All three chipsets are bifurcated depending on the performance and AI applications. This is company’s significant step toward powering its flagship products including MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, and Vision Pro Devices. Manufactured on TSMC’s 3-nanometer, the chipset is expected to deliver significant improvements over its predecessor, the M4.
The upcoming chipset from Cupertino tech giant will bring significant improvements like faster performance and better efficiency which will make it ideal for demanding tasks such as video editing, gaming, and some AI-powered applications. The M5 chipset is rumored to feature more powerful Neural Engine that will help in enhancing AI capabilities, machine learning, and app performance.
