90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days introduced fans to Brian Muniz and Ingrid Rezende, offering a love story that has never been seen in the franchise before. As their story continues to unfold, viewers are buzzing, wondering if the couple is still together.

How Did ‘90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ Stars Brian and Ingrid Meet?

Brian, a 51-year-old quadriplegic, met Ingrid after he spent time coaching wheelchair rugby in Brazil. “I found it to be much easier to meet and date people in Brazil than here in the United States,” Brian told cameras. “In my experience, the attitude in the States, toward guys in wheelchairs, it’s like, they’re just like last resort.”

The pair “hit it off right away” and talked for two years before he decided to meet her for the first time in Brazil.

90 Day Fiance’s Brian Worried About Intimacy With Ingrid

Brian had hesitations about his relationship as he admitted there were things that Ingrid wasn’t aware of when it came to him, especially that his condition could complicate their intimacy.

During the September 2024 premiere, Brian admitted to his wheelchair rugby team that he hadn’t spoken with Ingrid about the sensitive topic.

“Sex with a person in a wheelchair is different in a lot of ways. Some guys can get an erection without Viagra, and keep, some guys can and can’t keep. I get the erection, it stays. Viagra helps,” he told producers. “But if you associate pleasure with ejaculating, that’s really not it for us. If we do ejaculate, we get a severe headache, spasms in our hands, sometimes can be even an aneurysm, causing an aneurysm. So it’s kinda scary even.”

Brian hoped things would go smoothly with his Brazilian girlfriend, adding that if it was “frustrating” for her, she probably wouldn’t stick around.

The Illinois native was also nervous that Ingrid hadn’t fully accepted his disability as she had yet to tell her family about their relationship.

“It does feel strange, going to a place to meet somebody that I care a lot about. And then to feel that, maybe she’s hiding my disability or something or maybe embarrassed of that,” Brian admitted. “I have strong feelings for her but I can’t be with someone who’s ashamed to be with me. So I really hope that’s not the case.”

90 Day Fiance’s Brian Has a Few Secrets to Tell Ingrid

Prior to his arrival in Brazil, Brian admitted he hadn’t been completely honest with Ingrid about his relationship history. He told viewers he had been married four times — three American brides and one Brazilian.

“I also had several relationships in Brazil, including a few failed engagements, and most of these women were quite a bit younger than me,” he continued. “Ingrid is also 20 years my junior.”

90 Day Fiance’s Brian and Ingrid Faced Bumps in Their Relationship

Although Brian and Ingrid found some sparks in person, the issues were also quick to ignite. Ingrid’s family and friends questioned Brian, perceiving him as older and outside her usual type.

Additionally, Ingrid discovered that Brian had been married more times than she had initially known and that he had a past as a drug dealer.

Among his four marriages was one to a woman from Brazil, living in the city of Recife, a place they visited during their trip. “I mean she never really asked how many times I’ve been married, so I really haven’t lied about it,” Brian said in a private confessional during episode of the spinoff. “But I don’t understand why it matters. And I wish she would judge me for my current actions and not my past.”

Brian spoke to his sister about the situation and told her that he felt Ingrid was using his failed marriages as an excuse to pull away from the relationship.

Ingrid later reached out to Brian to arrange a meeting to speak about their relationship. During the outing, Brian told Ingrid that he was seeking someone who truly loved him and admitted he didn’t feel that from her. He claimed she was “not being genuine” and taking advantage of him for the trips and hotel stays.

The Brazil native said she was “trying to make it work,” but Brian didn’t accept her response, insisting she was “not trying” in his eyes and using him to get to the United States with her children. This infuriated Ingrid, prompting her to storm out of the restaurant while telling him to, “F–k off.”

“I really wanna believe what Ingrid is saying, I really deep in my heart wanna believe what she’s saying to me. But what she’s showing me in her actions, it’s just not matching up,” he said in a private confessional during episode 16. “I was ready to do whatever necessary and whatever it took to be with Ingrid for the rest of my life. But there’s something in my gut that’s telling me that she’s not here for the right reasons.”

Are 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ Brian and Ingrid Still Together?

It’s unclear if Brian and Ingrid got back together after filming. However, the pair seemingly aren’t on good terms as Brian accused Ingrid of having a boyfriend in a teaser for part 1 of the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days tell-all.

“Why is she wearing lingerie for you if she has a boyfriend?” the cast asked Brian, to which someone can be heard responding, “Ask her that. Ask her that.”

Ingrid allegedly has a new boyfriend as she posted a loved-up photo with an unidentified man in January 2025.
