The charismatic second baseman is still celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers’ second World Series win in 5 years. A fan-favorite among the squad, Hernández made his way to Alhambra on Monday, Nov. 4 to work a short shift at Raising Cane’s.

Residents driving by might think the Dodgers were still in season seeing hundreds of people decked out in Dodgers gear lining the streets outside of the chicken finger joint. Kiké happily greeted the fans when he arrived before heading insider to get to work.

After shooting some videos eating tenders and signing memorabilia, the baseballer went behind the counter to serve a few lucky fans their box combos. He even manned the drive-thru, doing his best to give cars full of screaming admirers the quickest and most efficient service possible.

Before heading out, the Puerto Rican athlete addressed the crowd that gathered outside, ensuring fans that even though he doesn’t have a contract right now, he would absolutely love to return to the Dodgers next year.

“Finally getting our parade is everything we imagined and more,” he said, referring to the fact that the team wasn’t able to have a parade following their win in 2020. “The way the city showed up for us, it’s incredible. It’s really hard to put into words … it’s been all a dream.”
