The tragedy surrounding the death of Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, continues to generate shock and speculation. The Argentine Prosecutor's Office confirmes on Tuesday that the results of the toxicology and histopathology studies related to the singer's autopsy have not yet been released, following his death last week in Buenos Aires.
In a statement, the Prosecutor's Office explained that Liam's father, Geoff Payne, was informed about the status of the investigation. "The representative of the Prosecutor's Office informed the father that the toxicology and histopathology studies complementary to the autopsy have not yet been completed, and that their results are necessary to determine the release of the body", detailed the PO.
Despite previous reports claiming that the musician had multiple drugs in his system, including "pink cocaine", crack and methamphetamine, te PO stated that no official results have been made public. "As of today, there is no knowledge of other studies or laboratory analyses", the authorities added.
The search for answers
Uncertainty surrounds the family and fans investigators conduct examinations of cell phones and security cameras to reconstruct Liam's final hours. "Geoff Payne Expressed his desire for an investigation and to know what happened", the statement emphasized.
Anticipation for the toxicology results is palpable, as they could be revealed later this week. The Prosecutor's Office, overseeing the case, has prioritized the family's privacy while seeking to clarify the events that led to the singer's tragic fall from the third-floor balcony of the Casa Sur hotel.
