If you think Ariana Grande has finally broken out of her “Wicked” fashion style, look twice. The singer has only embraced some winter layering with a massive puffer coat during her recent appearance. Before heading to “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Grande bundled herself up in a black puffer jacket while arriving at the CBS Studios. While posing for cameras, she also showcased a glimpse of the inner pink and green striped fabric that channeled both her and co-star Cynthia Erivo‘s colors Glinda and Elphaba from the film.
Ariana Grande makes a massive puffer coat work before CBS interview
Ariana Grande welcomed the chilly winter in a massive puffer coat layered over her outfit. On Tuesday, she stepped into the CBS Studios in a coat that closely resembled a sleeping bag. Albeit unbuttoned and unzipped, the singer wrapped the full-sleeve jacket tightly around herself. Before entering the venue, she stopped to greet her fans and sign autographs for them. The puffiness of the coat acted as a pleated pattern that elevated the winter garment to give it more volume.
Ariana Grande paired her giant puffer coat with black sunglasses to shield her eyes from the blazing sunlight. She topped it off with black pointed-toe heels. Meanwhile, Grande stayed true to her character Glinda‘s iconic pink in her outfit for “The Drew Barrymore Show.” She wore a corset-style top with a skirt from Thom Browne, featuring grey stripes and butterfly transparent pink butterfly appliques around the fabric. The singer tied her hair back into a sleek high ponytail. She opted for a Glinda-fied glam, including curvy lashes and a glossy lip.
Grande completed her look with minimal accessories and grey pointed-toe heels to offer a contrast to the Thom Browne ensemble’s layers. Host Drew Barrymore offered her the surprise of a lifetime. Ariana Grande was presented with the original Glinda wand from the 1939 musical “The Wizard of Oz.” The silver wand added its magic to the outfit, making the look even more special.
