It was a “pajama party” and everyone there wore pink or green loungewear by Kim's brand Skims, which some believe was the reason for the screening (to promote the collab), but it's unclear if or when these Wicked-y Skims will be available to the public.
Anyway, people are kinda mad. A popular and pretty reasonable Reddit post questions why, of all the celebrities out there, the Kardashians were chosen to host this event, Skims aside. Yes, they're a matriarch-led clan with a wide reach, but given the show's message of tolerance and looking beyond appearances, they could have invited…others? Where's the screening with the women who originated these roles on Broadway? Where's the screening to raise money for a local hospital? Or heck, an animal charity? Light spoiler: animal rights is what Wicked is largely about. But hey, maybe those are in the works.
Not mad at all are the women who went, all of whom praised the movie. Kourtney Kardashian said she felt “empowered” by the story, while Kylie Jenner said she “cried, laughed, LOVED!!!” it. It was a special moment for Khloé Kardashian and her son Tatum, as Wicked is the 2-year-old's first non-cartoon movie. Kim called the experience “magical” in a post that Grande re-posted, so it looks like the two really are on good terms. For good?
