Ashlee Simpson Shuts Down Jessica Simpson Divorce Rumors

Jessica Simpson's sister has her back.

Ashlee Simpson had a simple answer when asked if the "With You" singer was splitting from her husband, Eric Johnson.

TMZ asked Ashlee, 40, "Is it true? Do you know?" about a split when they caught her and her husband, Evan Ross, at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills on Monday, November 11.

"No," Ashlee responded. However, TMZ noted that the "no" could be in response to either question.

The "Irresistible" songstress, 44, first sparked divorce rumors when she posted a cryptic message on Instagram.

"Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearthed my singular magic.

This comeback is personal, it's an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve 🎶 🎼 🤍🖤," she wrote on Tuesday, November 12.

Simpson has also been spotted without her ring and has not posted any photos with the ex-NFL player, 45, since their spring break trip with their kids. However, she did publicly wish him a "happy birthday" in September with photos of their children.

The couple got married in 2014 and share three children, Maxwell, 12, Ace, 11, and Birdie, 5.

This is both Jessica and Eric's second marriage. Jessica was previously married to Nick Lachey from 2002 until until 2006 while Eric was married to Keri D'Angelo from 2005 until 2010.
