Aussie rock icon Paul Kelly announces new tour of Australia and New Zealand

Aussie rock icon Paul Kelly is hitting the road.

The legendary musician, 69, thrilled fans on Wednesday when he announced an arena tour of Australia and New Zealand for 2025.

Kelly, known for hits including How To Make Gravy, said on his official Instagram page: "The band and I are packing our swag of songs, old and new, to bring to you in 2025."

"Joining the tour is Jason Isbell, the 400 Unit, Fanny Lumsden and Reb Fountain."

"Wow, what a lineup," one follower commented underneath.

The tour will begin in Perth on August 26, before heading to Brisbane, Sydney, Hobart, Adelaide, Melbourne, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.

It will wrap up on Friday, September 12.

Kelly, who hails from Adelaide, is known for hits including Before Too Long, From St Kilda to Kings Cross and Love Never Runs On Time.

Binge recently announced the original feature film How To Make Gravy, an adaptation of Kelly's song about a man whose family will celebrate Christmas without him.

Kelly previously told The Sydney Morning Herald about making music and said how it's not about the charts but longevity for him.

"That's not how I write songs, and it's not in my thinking as I write … It's best to try and make records that last, that people still listen to in 20 years' time," he said.
