"Baby Driver" actor Hudson Meek died on December 21 after sustaining injuries a few days prior from falling out of a moving vehicle, the Jefferson County Coroner's office told Newsweek.

Hudson, 16, sustained "blunt force injuries" on December 19 after falling "to the roadway from a motor vehicle in motion" in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, the Jefferson County Coroner's office told Newsweek.
"The decedent sustained blunt force injuries due to a fall to the roadway from a motor vehicle in motion," the Jefferson County Coroner's office told Newsweek. "The decedent was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries two days later."
He was transported to the UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, where he died on December 21. He was pronounced dead on Saturday at almost 8 p.m.

Hudson's obituary on the Searcy Funeral Home website says he was surrounded by friends and family "and the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ" when he died.
"Hudson was an organ donor, and his family is comforted by knowing that he will continue to help others for years to come," the obituary reads.
Who Was Hudson Meek?
Hudson was born on August 5, 2008, to Derek and Lani Meek. He was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School and a member of the Vestavia Hills Rebel football team.
He also was involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athlete, honor choir, and the student government, according to his obituary.
"Hudson loved gathering with his close friends, water sports, anything in the woods, traveling, and acting for television and film," the obituary reads. "He loved playing and watching all sports, but especially football, basketball, boxing, and anything involving the Auburn Tigers."
When Hudson was 13, he became a certified open-water scuba diver. A year later he earned an advanced open-water certification.
Throughout his 16 years, Hudson visited all 50 U.S. states. His obituary said his next goal was to visit all seven continents.
As an actor, Hudson worked on several major motion pictures and television shows, some of which will be released in 2025.
"He absolutely loved spending time on set and having the chance to learn the names and stories of every member of the cast and crew," his obituary reads.

The Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
A celebration of Hudson's life will take place on December 28 at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood, Alabama at 11:30 a.m. CT. The service will be livestreamed via Hudson's Instagram account.
The family is asking for donations to the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship in lieu of flowers. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a Vestavia Hills High School student.
