Barron, Melania and Ivanka Join Donald Trump for Victory Speech

Donald Trump took to the stage in Florida with his family by his side to declare victory in the U.S. presidential election.

Joined by his wife, Melania, daughter Ivanka, and son Barron, the Republican presidential nominee delivered a victory speech marked by confident declarations and gratitude to his supporters, despite some states not yet having declared their results.

When Trump spoke at West Palm Beach, he was nearing the 270 Electoral College votes needed to be officially declared the next president of the United States.

During the speech, Trump expressed his appreciation to the American people "for being elected your 47th president" as he acknowledged his campaign team while his supporters cheered and his family onstage applauded.

Glancing over at his family, Trump stated: "I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve," before vowing that "this will be the golden age of America."

Ivanka, who was a prominent adviser during her father's previous administration, appeared at ease on stage, standing next to her husband, Jared Kushner, with both smiling as her father spoke.

Melania maintained a calm and composed demeanor as she stood onstage with her husband. Both women clearly showed support for Trump, despite criticism of them previously distancing themselves from him during the 2024 campaign.

After being actively involved during her father's presidency from 2016-2020, Ivanka and her husband chose to step away from political roles to focus on their private life and family. Ivanka stated that while she loved and supported her father, she was prioritizing her children and family life over political involvement, a stance she expressed shortly after Trump announced his latest campaign in late 2022.

Since then, she has remained largely out of the spotlight, apart from at social and family occasions, and she avoided campaign-related events, even as the 2024 election neared.

In 2023, Ivanka gave testimony to the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Low Profile

Melania Trump also kept a noticeably low profile during Trump's 2024 campaign. Unlike her active presence in the 2016 and 2020 campaigns, Melania made only brief appearances and issued limited public statements.

The former first lady attended the Republican National Convention, but did not deliver a speech and has generally refrained from participating actively in campaign events.

Melania has seemingly been focusing on her own projects, such as her recently released memoir, Melania, rather than engaging extensively with the campaign trail.

However, she has shown support for her husband while promoting her book, calling him "magnetic" and praising his "confidence, his charm, his humor, his vision."

Newsweek contacted Melania's team on Wednesday outside of normal working hours via the Trumps' official website for comment.

Melania and Donald Trump's son Barron, 18, noticeably tall and towering over his mother, stood proudly with his family onstage in Florida as his father declared victory on the brink of his second presidency, with his family displaying a united show of support.

In the jubilant scene in the Sunshine State, Trump outlined his vision for the next chapter, promising new policies and pledging to prioritize Americans' needs.

The audience, comprising supporters and campaign team members, frequently interrupted him with applause and chants, creating an energetic atmosphere.

Trump described the moment as "the greatest political movement of all time," saying he was going to "help our country heal," that "it needs help and it needs help very badly."

While Trump's remarks were focused on domestic goals, his family's presence seemed to reflect a more personal, unifying message.

Trump is projected to win the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina, which will secure the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.
