EastEnders icon Richard Blackwood played it coy when teased about The Masked Singer UK theories on Good Morning Britain this Tuesday.

When quizzed by hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley over the speculation linking him to Bear—one of the competition's secretive singers on ITV—Richard dodged giving a definite answer.

Madeley introduced the star, stating, "He's a very funny guy. He's the stand-up soap star, best known for his breakout role in Albert Square, and now Richard Blackwood is returning to his comedic roots for his funniest show, people are saying, to date."

Susanna chimed in, "But fans and Jonathan Ross are convinced it's not his only new gig. Richard is top of the guest list for Bear on the Masked Singer."

After a clip of Bear performing was shown, Richard admitted receiving numerous messages questioning if he was the man behind the mask according to reports in the Mirror.

"Why do you think everyone thinks it's you? " queried Madeley, and Richard responded, "His swagger. The swagger is on point. I'm looking and going, 'That's how I would do it.' You can't put on a bear outfit and not know that the swagger's got to be on point, because it's not an everyday outfit. It's hot in there and stuff, so I've heard."

Not letting that slide, Susanna asked, "How do you know it's hot in there? " but Richard swiftly replied that his two years in Shrek the Musical let him "relate" to wearing a similar costume.
