BBC The Traitors' Minah shares 'important' tips for show as applications shut this weekend

The Traitors icon Minah Shannon has shared some "important" top tips for getting onto the BBC show as applications for the fourth season are set to close this weekend.

The 29-year-old call centre manager was a fan favourite on the show after her highly successful stint as a Traitor before she was eliminated from the Scots castle in the final week.

As the deadline to apply for next year's show comes to a close on Sunday February 9, Minah has taken to TikTok to share five tips on getting your foot in the door on the Claudia Winkleman show.

Addressing her 57k followers on the app, she said: "I'm gonna give you a few things that I think are worth considering and thinking of when doing your application. First thing is be yourself. Honestly guys, all my friends and family will tell you I was 100% myself on that show and I was 100% myself throughout the application stage."

Referring to her co-star Charlotte, who did not follow the same strategy, she joked: "If you can't be yourself just be Welsh."

Minah continued: "Second thing is confidence. I think people really underestimate the power of confidence. If you have pure genuine confidence, everyone in the room will be confident in you and I think that's one thing that made me stand out. Practising confidence is very important if you're about to be on a TV show."

Thirdly, she emphasised the importance of making your application unique. She advised: "When you go through the stages, any opportunity you have to make yourself stand out, take it and think about what you're gonna say whilst being yourself."

Minah's fourth tip was to convince BBC bosses that the show won't work without you. She recalled: "For me, I desperately wanted to be a Traitor so any opportunity I had from the casting team up until I spoke to Claudia I said I have to be a Traitor, it is the only outcome possible."

Lastly, the Liverpool star encouraged applicants to "manifest" their place on the show. She explained: "Basically tell yourself you are already on the show and your energy naturally will do the things you need to do to get on."
