Bella Hadid and Adan Banuelos have quickly become one of the cutest celebrity couples. The horse-loving duo has been spending time together both in and out of the cutting pen. As both her cutting coach and boyfriend, the million-dollar rider couldn't hold back his excitement and pride after her latest achievement at the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Futurity.
On Thursday, a few days after the competition, Banuelos shared a video from the event celebrating her latest win. The model placed as the Reserve Champion, finishing second with a score of 214, riding a horse named Metallic Hardball.
As for how close she was to first, the winner, Kristin Shoppa, scored a 215.5 and took home the Champion title, according to the Instagram account Performance Horse Central.
"Futurity Limited Amateur Reserve CHAMPIONS! To say we’re proud would be an understatement," Banuelos gushed in the caption. He went on to highlight some of her other achievements in her first year cutting: "Futurity Limited Am Reserve Champ ✔️ Amateur Rookie Of The Year ✔️," the 35-year-old said.
The competition took place in Fort Worth, TX, and is one of the many places around the United States where Hadid has competed. She earned her first belt buckle in Jackson, Mississippi, last month in November.
After the competition, Banuelos shared a video of her competing. “Bella rode 3 horses and qualified to 7 different finals, bringing home her first CHAMPIONSHIP buckle! We continue to be proud of her in (and out) of the arena,” he wrote in the caption.
As for what's next for the couple, they probably just or are about to celebrate their anniversary. They were first spotted smooching in October 2023 in a video published by TMZ showing them "kissing, hugging, and holding hands" at Fort Worth stockyards.
She posted him for the first time on Instagram on January 24, 2024, and later posted photos from her birthday in October, which showed that Banuelos was at the party, and they looked very much like a couple already.
It's clear things are serious between the couple, and she recently built a single-story, horseshoe-shaped home in Texas. A source told US Weekly, “She moved to Texas to be closer to him."
Before the successful model moved into her new home, she was living in Banuelos' trailer. The 35-year-old rider said she did the "5th wheel happily" on the “Along For the Ride” podcast. "It was badass. That 5th wheel always felt small, and then you get somebody you enjoy spending time with, and it went from a 5th wheel to a mansion," he said.
