Ben Affleck Races to His Family’s Side Amid California Wildfire

Actor Ben Affleck was spotted racing to his family’s side as wildfires broke out in Pacific Palisades, California, and surrounding areas, according to a photo published by TMZ.

Affleck rushed to the home of his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, TMZ reported, sharing a photo of the actor looking consternated. Affleck and Garner have three kids. According to TMZ, it wasn’t clear whether Affleck was going to Garner’s home because he needed somewhere to stay or whether he just wanted to be with his family or both. However, the entertainment site reported that Affleck was evacuated from his own home due to the blaze.

According to TMZ, stars ranging from Tom Hanks to Steven Spielberg also live in the area. Affleck lives close to Garner, TMZ reported.

Jennifer Garner’s Neighbors Are on ‘Standby’ for Evacuation

According to The New York Post, Garner and the kids haven’t had to evacuate their Brentwood home yet but her neighbors are on standby.

Page Six reported that the photo showing Affleck rushing to Garner’s home was taken on January 7 and showed the actor in a suit.

According to Page Six, “nearly 30,000 people — including several celebrities” have needed to evacuate their properties. The state of Affleck’s home is not clear.

Ben Affleck Has Maintained Contact With Both Ex-Wives for the Children’s Sake, Reports Say

Affleck has been in contact with both of his ex-wives in recent weeks and months for the sake of all of the kids their families share.

His close relationship with Garner is well known; for example, they were photographed together on Thanksgiving. However, she is dating businessman John Miller and has been for some time, according to Page Six, which reported that Affleck was with Garner over Christmas as well.

Affleck has also spent time with his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez, who was photographed with her child Emme visiting him and his son Samuel on January 5. According to TMZ, Affleck and Lopez have settled their divorce. She filed the action in August. According to Page Six, Affleck did join Lopez for lunch and exchange presents before the Christmas holiday, however.

“The kids love spending time together. Ben and Jennifer always do everything for the kids to be happy,” a source told People. “The kids don’t drive so Ben and Jennifer will continue to facilitate meetups. They are not getting back together. Ben was with his kids for Christmas and Jennifer with hers. They all had a great holiday break.”
