Ben Affleck was photographed spending Thanksgiving Day with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
According to TMZ, Affleck, Garner, and their three kids helped feed homeless people at Midnight Mission in Los Angeles, California, on Thanksgiving Day 2024. According to TMZ, the pair looked close, with Affleck whispering in Garner’s ear at one point. Videos shared by TMZ showed Garner with an exuberant smile on her face.
Meanwhile, Affleck’s estranged wife Jennifer Lopez posted a photo standing alone with a turkey on her Instagram page.
“I hope everybody had a beautiful and Happy Thanksgiving. I am so incredibly grateful for all of you. 🧡,” Lopez wrote with the post. The post accrued more than 500,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
Lopez did not share additional details of her Thanksgiving Day feast.
Jennifer Garner Gave Advice About Relationships on a Recent Podcast

“Never expect a man — don’t marry a man thinking you can change him,” Jennifer, 52, said on the podcast, reciting advice she says she got from her mom.
Garner has been married and divorced twice, from Affleck and actor Scott Foley. In 2016, she told Vanity Fair of Affleck, “I always say, ‘When his sun shines on you, you feel it.’ But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow.”
The Vanity Fair article says Affleck and Garner made it until one day past their 10th wedding anniversary before divorcing.
“I didn’t marry the big fat movie star; I married him,” Garner told Vanity Fair of Affleck. “And I would go back and remake that decision. I ran down the beach to him, and I would again. You can’t have these three babies and so much of what we had. He’s the love of my life. What am I going to do about that? He’s the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous. He’s just a complicated guy.”
She spoke then about how she wanted a friendship with Affleck for the sake of their kids, saying, “Sure, I lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter’s wedding. But you should see their faces when he walks through the door. And if you see your kids love someone so purely and wholly, then you’re going to be friends with that person.”

Just because Affleck and Garner are friends doesn’t mean there’s still a romantic spark: She has a longtime boyfriend.
