Feng shui is an ancient Chinese practise whereby the flow of energy in your life is influenced by the way you decorate your home.

Common Feng shui principles include positioning the bed in a way that you and a partner can enter the bed from both sides.

This means the bed is not in a corner, which would otherwise make the other person feel trapped in the relationship.

Solo items are also a big no-no; examples include a single chair in the corner of the room, or having only one picture on the wall.

Feng shui is also all about the power of colour – pinks and reds, the colour of love and passion, should be incorporated into your decor.
