Bethenny Frankel revealed that “one side” of the legal war between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni “reach[ed] out” to her to “discuss it.” The Real Housewives of New York alum shared what she told them, and called the situation a “botch job.”

Blake recently starred in It Ends with Us, a movie Justin directed. In December, she filed a complaint accusing Justin of sexual harassment on the set. Around the same time, past allegations surfaced that Blake was difficult to work with. She later sued Justin’s PR team, and accused them of running a smear campaign against her. On December 26, Justin sued Blake for defamation.

Back in 2023, Bethenny fell into controversy when she accused her former network of mistreating its stars. Many fans took the network’s side.

On a February 5 Instagram video, Bethenny addressed Blake and Justin’s legal war.

“I will tell you that one side tried to reach out to me to discuss it,” said Bethenny. “And my opinion about it was the following. This is exactly what I said to them: It’s a botch job.”

“This was in the beginning [of the controversy],” she went on. “I was like, ‘This is a botch job. You botched it. The way you start a race is often how you finish.'”

But Bethenny admitted that anything can happen in the trial, given that “we don’t know exactly what happened.”

“But to this point forward, there’s been a lot of public damage, a lot of court of public opinion, a lot of brand equity damage, that’s obvious,” she said. “It’s 2025. Things have to be done differently, positioned differently … It is endless. This is like the abyss, this trial, unnecessarily so.”

“It’s a s**t show,” she said. “Most importantly, you do not f**k around with what you can’t lose. Period. Nobody’s bigger than the game … Anything can happen in a courtroom … The wolves are always at the end of the bed.”

The latest season of The Real Housewives of New York City recently concluded. Its current cast has completely new stars, and Bethenny has suggested it was a bad choice.
