Beyoncé cemented the impact of her COWBOY CARTER era with an unprecedented live performance on Christmas. Taking the field in her hometown, the Grammy-winning musician delivered a halftime show at NRG Stadium during the faceoff between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans in true icon fashion. The football game and halftime show were both streamed live on Netflix, with Bey’s anticipated set produced by her company, Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment.
The mini-concert connected music, fashion, and history, showcasing the mother of three’s dedication to not only showmanship but also culture and pride. It also served as the first live performance of songs from the acclaimed COWBOY CARTER.
According to the streamer, Beyoncé Bowl will be available to rewatch as a standalone special exclusively available on the platform later this week.
Queen Bey was joined on stage by a handful of special guests featured on the genre-bending album. Additionally, in homage to Western and Rodeo culture, Beyoncé included as special guests, Mexican Cowgirl, Melanie Rivera, Bull-riding legend, Myrtis Dightman, Jr., known as the “Jackie Robinson of Rodeo,” Miss Rodeo Texas Princess 2004 and Miss Rodeo Texas 2015, Nikki Woodward, and the first Black Rodeo Queen in Arkansas, Ja’Dayia Kursh.
