Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory’s return home is being celebrated in grandeur with a “Welcome Back” concert in Miami.
Set for Thursday, Feb. 13 in Miami at the Amerant Bank Arena, the BMF co-founder will be honored with an A-list lineup featuring Lil Baby, Rick Ross, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Kodak Black, Est Gee, Tee Grizzley, Boosie, and more, with others set to be announced.
The event is produced by XO Touring & AG Touring and will be hosted by Big Meech himself. The production company “promises [it will] be a memorable night where the music industry unites and celebrate a legend.” Tickets go on sale on Friday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. ET.
A representative for Big Meech stressed the importance of his release, describing it as a “catalyst for continued efforts towards criminal justice reform.”
It read, “He’s out, but millions more remain trapped inside — there’s still so much work to be done. We need to push for real change, for a justice system that recognizes the dignity and potential for redemption in every individual.”
Big Meech was transferred from a federal prison to a halfway house back in October after being imprisoned since 2008. Journalist Philip Lewis reported, “Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson tells me Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory was transferred yesterday from FCI Coleman Low to community confinement (home confinement or halfway house). Flenory has a projected release date of Jan. 27, 2026.”
He was initially set to serve a 30-year sentence, but it was reduced by 32 months.
