Jordon Hudson has the coaching history of boyfriend Bill Belichick on lock.
After the University of North Carolina on Wednesday announced that it had hired six-time Super Bowl winner Belichick to be its new head football coach, Hudson took to Instagram to declare, “We are onto Chapel Hill !!!”
While the phrase seemed on the surface to be a routine shoutout to the campus location, it may mean a bit more.
Multiple outlets interpreted Hudson’s post as a nod to Belichick’s famous 2014 “We’re on to Cincinnati” reply to cut off questions about a lopsided New England Patriots loss to the Kansas City Chiefs the week before.
“I could have done it three times, I could have done it 53 times, It could have been 103 times if that’s what they wanted to keep asking, because we had to turn the page,” Belichick said after that incident.
Belichick stunned the football world by agreeing to a five-year deal to guide the Tar Heels after never coaching at the college level.

“I am excited for the opportunity at UNC-Chapel Hill,” Belichick said in a statement. “I grew up around college football with my Dad and treasured those times. I have always wanted to coach in college and now I look forward to building the football program in Chapel Hill.”
Hudson, a former Bridgewater State University cheerleader who now says she’s an entrepreneur, reportedly met Belichick when she was still in college in 2021. They have been “quietly dating” for about two years, People reported.
