Billie Eilish Reveals Injury After Stage Fall

Billie Eilish has revealed the impressive bruise she received after falling down the stairs at Madison Square Garden.

The singer brought her Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour to the venue on October 16, 17 and 18, which were all sold out. According to Page Six, Madonna was even spotted in the audience with her kids during the Thursday show.

According to reviews, Eilish put on an impressive performance—but one of the nights resulted in injury. Taking to her Instagram stories, Eilish reposted a TikTok video that caught her stumbling as she left the stage. In the clip, Eilish can be seen waving to her fans as they cheer her off—but as she runs down the last few steps, she trips and falls.

"Billie falling down the stair at MSG," text over the top of the TikTok video—uploaded by user @billie.on.tour—reads, while the caption said: "Our girl needs a break." At the time of writing, the TikTok video had been viewed more than 446,000 times.

When sharing the video with her 120 million followers, Eilish added a skull emoji. Then, in a follow-up post, the singer showed off the large bruise that formed as a result of the fall. Sharing a photo of the contusion on her thigh, she wrote: "but literally."

Newsweek emailed a spokesperson for comment on Tuesday outside of normal business hours.

Last week, Eilish showed her enthusiasm for performing at Madison Square Garden by posting a photo of the stadium on Instagram. "MADISON SQUARE GARDEN? THREE NIGHTS? SOLD OUT? I'LL SEE U SOOOOOOON," she captioned the post.

The three shows were the most Eilish has ever played at the arena in a single headlining tour. As well as performing songs from her album Hit Me Hard and Soft, she also sang tracks such as "when the party's over" and "Everything I Wanted," the 2019 hit that won Eilish one of her nine Grammys.

After watching Eilish perform, Madonna brought her twin daughters Estere Mwale Ciccone and Stella Mwale Ciccone backstage to meet the singer.

To commemorate the occasion, Madonna uploaded a carousel post to Instagram of her attending the concert as well as herself and her daughters posing with the 22-year-old pop star. "It's nice to get out," she captioned the upload.

The post also featured videos of Eilish performing on the night and Madonna's daughters enjoying the show from the audience.

A concertgoer told Page Six that the "Hung Up" singer didn't have VIP seats, and instead sat with the other attendees.

"She was seated for the entire show, taking selfies with her kids in normal 100 [level] seats," they said.

This was Madonna's first public outing since her brother Christopher Ciccone died on October 4 following a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Newsweek emailed a spokesperson for Madonna on Tuesday outside of normal business hours.
