Actress Blake Lively has been hit with a new lawsuit as she continues to deal with the legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
The Hollywood actress is the subject of a $7million (£5.6million) lawsuit by crisis publicist Jed Wallace. Lively, 37, previously claimed he “weaponised a digital army” against her as part of a smear campaign. Wallace is the owner of crisis-management firm Street Relations, Inc. it has been alleged by the firm the It Ends With Us actress defamed them in her legal complaint filed in December in which she claimed the firm took part in an alleged 'smear campaign' against her.
The new lawsuit comes months after Lively filed a complaint against It Ends With Us co-star Baldoni. In it, she alleged sexual harassment and her lawyers claimed that Wallace was hired by the actor's PR team to help in an alleged smear campaign against Lively.

Lawyers for Wallace have alleged in the new lawsuit that Lively’s legal team has "conceded that Lively has no facts supporting the allegations she made against Wallace and Street in the Precursor which 'made headlines around the world' as she now, apparently under the threat of sanctions from one of Plaintiffs' attorneys, sought to 'investigate the scope of Mr. Wallace’s conduct'."
It has been claimed by Wallace's legal team that his company has suffered "millions of dollars in reputational harm" as a result of the firm being named in Lively's legal complaint. Lively's legal team released a statement to The Independent regarding the lawsuit. It read: "Another day, another state, another nine-figure lawsuit seeking to sue Ms Lively ‘into oblivion’ for speaking out against sexual harassment and retaliation.
“This is not just a publicity stunt—it is transparent retaliation in response to allegations contained within a sexual harassment and retaliation complaint that Ms. Lively filed with the California Civil Rights Department. While this lawsuit will be dismissed, we are pleased that Mr. Wallace has finally emerged from the shadows, and that he too will be held accountable in federal court.”
It Ends With Us director Baldoni has continued to deny wrongdoing and, last month, he countersued Blake and her husband, Ryan, 48, for £321 million for an apparent attempt to destroy his reputation and career. It's since been claimed Blake and Ryan's lawyers have filed a notice to state that they will seek to dismiss Justin's lawsuit.
Earlier this week, apparent text conversations between Lively and Baldoni were made public. Baldoni boldly shared a series of alleged texts, emails and WhatsApp messages with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively on a new website amid their ongoing legal battle.
The website, titled Lawsuit Info, included a 168-page 'timeline of relevant events' for Baldoni to defend himself against his co-star's allegations. There were no names to be seen on the site itself, just two documents available for download.
