Box integrates Adobe Express image editor directly into its cloud platform

Adobe and Box on Tuesday announced a new partnership that will integrate services from both companies. Starting today, Box users will have access to the Adobe Express image editor directly from the cloud platform, so that they can create and edit visual content without the need to open another website or app.

Adobe Express now available within Box

For those unfamiliar, Adobe Express is a cloud-based image editor that lets users create graphics, PDF documents and other digital assets. With the partnership, Adobe Express becomes the default image editor for Box users on the web.

“We’re excited to partner with Adobe Express to enhance what we can offer with the world’s best creative tools and AI that’s commercially safe. As a result, every Box customer and user will have the ability to easily create, collaborate on and securely manage digital media in a single, secure Intelligent Content Management platform,” said Aaron Levie, CEO of Box.

Adobe says that most of the features will be available within Box, including Firefly – the company’s generative AI. Other available features include the option to crop and resize images, apply filters and adjust opacity, remove objects and backgrounds, trim videos, convert them to GIFs and even add subtitles. Of course, all changes are automatically saved on Box.

Box users will also be able to edit PDF files with Adobe Acrobat and preview files from Creative Cloud apps such as InDesign and Illustrator.

Integration with Adobe Express will be rolled out first to Box Enterprise subscribers for no additional fee. There’s no need to sign up for a separate Adobe Express plan either. You can find more details on the Box website.
