Brianna LaPaglia claims that her ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan probably canceled an appearance onstage with Noah Kahan last year because he was extremely drunk.
Speaking about her singer ex on her BFFs podcast that she co-hosts with Josh Richards and Dave Portnoy, the social media star, also known as “Chickenfry,” went into detail about her year-long relationship with Bryan. "During the conversation, she recalled a time when, according to her, he was supposed to make a surprise appearance at a Kahan show in Boston in 2023."
"He was supposed to be the guest, and then he didn't go," she said. "He canceled last-minute."
This caused her co-host, Portnoy, to suggest that it was because Bryan “got shit-faced” — leading LaPaglia to suggest that she believes that’s what happened. "Yeah, I think he was drunk," she claimed. "I wasn't with him, but he was drunk and canceled on [Kahan]. I don't know what he said to cancel for, but he canceled the night before or the day before."
LaPaglia’s suggestion finally puts to bed the rumors that there was bad blood between Bryan and Kahan after he pulled out. Bryan would soon after post a screenshot of a FaceTime call with Kahan, writing, "Can you guys stop being weirdos on the internet. Noah is a brother to me and always will be what the hell man."
Elsewhere on the podcast, LaPaglia also claimed that Bryan offered her $12 million to sign an NDA after they broke up. “I was approached by his team and I was offered a lot of money—like, a big lump sum of money—and a few options," she said. "Basically, I would have gotten the money over the course of three years. I would have had to sign all of my experiences, everything that I am away to this person."
LaPaglia explained that she thought about doing it — but ultimately decided to be able to speak her truths instead. "I'm gonna be someone, I'm gonna be established, I'm gonna be successful after him," Brianna explained. "Maybe I'm not gonna be selling out stadiums and fucking making hundreds of millions of dollars—I'm alright where I'm at, and I don't want blood money."
She also claimed that Bryan had women he dated in the past sign an NDA once the relationship was over. "It came down to the point of I'm not the people before, and I was someone before you, and you made the women before me believe that they had no other choice than to take money from you, sign their experiences away, sign what they went through away," alleged LaPaglia.
