On December 2, the California courts officially declared her legally single, more than seven months after her divorce from ex-husband Sam Asghari was finalized.

This decision follows the pair's separation in July 2023, which led to their divorce proceedings the following month.

Spears and Asghari, who married in 2022, experienced a brief yet highly publicized union that ended with Asghari filing for divorce in August, citing irreconcilable differences.

Despite the split, sources revealed that the breakup was amicable, with Spears' prenuptial agreement remaining intact.

The singer, who has been open about embracing her newfound independence, reflected on her personal journey in October by posting a video on Instagram in which she shared her "self-marriage."

Describing the act as "the most brilliant thing" she's done, Spears continues to prioritize herself, focusing on healing and personal growth.

As for Asghari, he too has moved on from the relationship, focusing on his career.

The actor and fitness trainer is set to appear in the upcoming season of The Traitors and maintains a positive outlook post-divorce.

Sources close to Spears note that she is currently single and is prioritizing her mental well-being, having chosen to focus on healing and personal growth rather than entering another relationship.

"She will be healing from her trauma for a very long time. But she is done with men for now and focusing on herself," an insider told the Daily Mail.

Additionally, other sources also revealed that Spears has "the love of her sons back and that has been transformative."

"They speak often and text all the time. This is all she wanted," they added.

Spears has two sons with ex Kevin Federline, Son (19) and Jayden (18).

The "Toxic" singer, who recently released her memoir The Woman in Me, is also preparing for her book's transition to the big screen under a deal with Universal Pictures.

Spears' decision to remain single is seen as a reflection of her desire to reclaim control of her life, aligning her personal and professional pursuits on her own terms.
