Britney Spears doesn't need a man on her arm now that she's said "I do" to herself.
On Sunday (Oct. 20), the pop music icon shared a clip of her in a silk white négligée and lace veil in the living room of her Thousand Oaks, California mansion.
"The day I married myself," wrote the three-times divorced singer. "Bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing or stupid, but I think it’s the most brilliant thing I’ve ever done !!!"
Spears, 42, is reportedly dating her former housekeeper Paul Richard Soliz, whom she began publicly dating following the singer's divorce from Iranian model and actor (and Spears' former personal trainer) Sam Asghari. The ex spouses met on the set of Spears' and Tinashe's 2016 "Slumber Party" music video before getting engaged in September 2021 and marrying the following June. The marriage would last for two years with "irreconcilable differences" being cited in the divorce.
Previously, Spears was married to Kevin Federline — with whom she shares sons Sean, 19, and Preston, 18 — from 2004 to 2007, and Jason Allen Alexander in 2004, although the marriage was annulled 55 hours later.
Ahead of his 30th birthday, Asghari spoke to People in a March cover story, calling his marriage to Spears "a blessing."
"It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time. And people grow apart and people move on,” Asghari told the publication.
"I've always hated people leaving a certain relationship—and at some point they told each other they love each other and they sat at the same table and ate food [together]—so I never understood when people part ways [and] they talk badly about each other," he continued.
"That's something I'm never going to do because I had nothing but an amazing experience and a great life, and that's always going to be part of my life, a chapter of my life."
